Drainage first
Where the water should go, and why it doesn’t
Drainage trouble often shows itself outside before it reaches the house: a puddle beside the foundation that never dries, an area drain buried under silt, a downspout line spilling back out at a joint. Indoors, it looks like a floor or laundry drain that fills faster than it empties.
The fix depends on the cause. Some lines only need clearing. Others have a broken section, a collapsed run or a fitting that pulled apart, and those are far easier to judge on video than by guessing. Camera inspection gear is carried on board, so the crew can look down the line and show you what is there.
Nothing gets dug up or replaced until you have a written quote in hand. The crew explains in plain language what they found and what each option involves, and if a kitchen, bath, laundry or main-line clog turns out to be part of the same problem, it is handled on the same visit.

The Canyon City
Azusa, at the mouth of the canyon
Azusa is known as the Canyon City, and the name fits: it sits at the mouth of San Gabriel Canyon, on the east side of the San Gabriel River. The 210 runs through Azusa, and Azusa Avenue, part of State Route 39, heads north toward the canyon.
Depending on your address, water comes from Azusa Light & Water or, in some portions of the city, California American Water. Generally, the utility’s side ends at the meter, and the pipe from the meter to the house belongs to the owner. A leak at the meter box is a call to the utility; a wet patch between the meter and your wall usually means a call to us.
Azusa is in Los Angeles County, with Glendora and Duarte on either side. Both share our crews and our written quotes, as do Monrovia, San Dimas and Arcadia a short way along the same freeway.
Drainage and plumbing questions from Azusa
- Can a plumber fix water pooling in my yard in Azusa?
- Yes, when the water collects because a drain line, downspout line or area drain isn’t carrying it away. We clear the line or find the damaged section, often with a camera, and quote the repair before starting. If the pooling comes from the slope of the ground rather than a pipe, the plumber will tell you so.
- Why does my laundry or floor drain back up when other drains are fine?
- Usually the clog sits in that drain’s own branch rather than the main line. A drain that serves one fixture collects lint, soap or debris over time and slows down before it stops. If clearing it doesn’t hold, a camera shows whether the pipe itself is damaged.
- Is a leak near the meter the utility’s problem or mine?
- It depends on which side of the meter the leak is on. The utility, Azusa Light & Water or California American Water depending on your address, is generally responsible up to and including the meter. The line from the meter into the house and everything inside is generally the owner’s, and that is where a plumber works.
- Do you work in Azusa at night or on weekends?
- Yes, emergency plumbing support runs 24/7 for burst pipes, sewer backups and no-water calls. Regular service runs Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and evenings and weekends are available on request. A service fee applies after normal business hours, and the office tells you what applies before dispatch.
- How is a drainage repair priced?
- Every job is quoted in writing before work starts. The price depends on what the inspection finds, such as whether a line only needs clearing or a section has to be replaced. Veterans and seniors get 10% off a single qualifying job when they mention it at booking.
